Dr. Alyson Rogers is a Florida native, having grown up in Boca Raton. She began riding at a young age and always knew that she would like a career that combined her love for horses and science. She attended the University of Florida for a bachelors degree in Biology and a minor in Wildlife Ecology + Conservation and a second minor in African Studies. She then went onto veterinary school at St. George’s University in the Caribbean and finished her final year of vet school at Auburn University.
She graduated January 2016 and accepted an internship with Peterson Smith’s Advanced Fertility Center working under Dr. Matthews. Since our internships typically start in August in that time Dr. Rogers worked at Buffalo Ridge Animal Hospital a small animal clinic. She has varied veterinary experience, but equine reproduction is her passion. Dr. Rogers has one Hanoverian mare and two cats. In her spare time you can find her spending time with her mare and working with her husband on house projects.
