Dr. Chris Stokes is originally from Hamshire, a small town in Southeast Texas. He received a Bachelor’s in Animal Science from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. He attended Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona, for his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Stokes grew up raising commercial and show cattle, pigs, goats and Quarter Horses. He didn’t decide on vet school until the summer before his senior year of college. He then got a job at a mixed animal practice and has loved every minute. Dr. Stokes was Vice President of MWU AAEP (American Association of Equine Practitioners) in vet school and competed on the Bovine Palpation Team. He’s married to his wife Emily and has an Australian Cattle Dog named Allie. He’s enjoyed seeing what the Western part of the country has to offer over the past four years of vet school, and he’s excited to be in Florida for the next year.
