Dr. Karen Hidalgo is from a small town called Macuspana in Tabasco, Mexico. She had a love for horses from a young age and decided she wanted to be a vet at just four years old. Growing up, Dr. Hidalgo spent time at a ranch with her family on the weekends and occasionally rode.

Dr. Hidalgo came to Peterson Smith as an extern in November of 2021 and liked it so much that she decided to stay as an intern. She went to vet school at UPAEP in Puebla, Mexico, and finished in December of 2021. She is very interested in internal medicine.

In her spare time, Dr. Hidalgo loves to travel to new places and enjoys spending time with friends and family. She also likes spending her down time with her Cocker Spaniel, Miley.
