Dr. Connie Finley was born and raised just outside of Oklahoma City, OK. She spent much of her youth successfully competing in numerous sports (track and field, basketball, softball, and soccer) despite being just above 5 feet tall. She moved to Stillwater, OK to attend Oklahoma State University (GO POKES!) for a Bachelor’s in Animal Science followed by a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine.
After graduating she began her pursuit to become specialized in large animal surgery which took her from Oakridge Equine Hospital in Oklahoma to Chino Hills Equine Hospital in California and finally to Peterson and Smith. After completing the internship in June 2018, she will start the 3 year surgical residency.
In her free time she enjoys woodworking, reading, and exploring Florida with her husband, Ryan. They plan on visiting as many theme parks and beaches as they can during their time here. Her career interests are in soft tissue surgery, especially colic, upper airway, and eye surgery.
